Ronda Rousey’s was thrust into the spotlight nearly 20 years ago, emerging as an Olympic-caliber judoka before setting sail on a a glistening spell in the UFC — and slightly less glistening stint in the WWE.
Predictably, her romantic life has remained a topic of discussion for much of her professional career. Rousey is an A-lister as far as combat sports is concerned? As for her spouse? That’s a different story.
With that, here’s what you need to know about Rousey’s romantic history, including her marriage with former UFC veteran Travis Browne.

Is Ronda Rousey married?
Indeed, Rousey is married. She married fellow UFC alum Travis Browne in April 2017, a little less than two years after announcing they were dating.
In July 2015, Browne’s previous wife posted photo on Instagram showing bruises across her body. She claimed that the injuries were caused by Browne, alleging that the then-heavyweight beat her.
The UFC placed Browne on leave pending an independent investigation. In Aug. 2015, the UFC released the findings of its inquiry. The promotion found
“inconclusive evidence” of domestic violence. Browne was summarily reinstated into the UFC. He and his ex-wife would officially divorce in Feb. 2016.

Does Ronda Rousey have kids?
Rousey and Browne have two children together: eldest daughter La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō (born in 2021) and youngest daughter Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha (born in 2025). Browne has two sons from a previous marriage.

Timothy DiGorrio
Rousey reportedly dated former MMA fighter Timothy DiGorrio. In her autobiography, “My Fight/Your Fight”, Rousey alluded to having a physical confrontation with an ex. Using the pseudonym Snapper McCreepy, Rousey detailed an incident when her ex-boyfriend threatened to release nude pictures of her that he obtained without her consent.
Rousey explained that she deleted the photos and erased the hard drive. She then confronted him, slapping him across the face “so hard [her] hand hurt.”
“He wouldn’t move. I punched him in the face with a straight right, then a left hook,” Rousey wrote, per The Washington Post. “He staggered back and fell against the door… I slapped him with my right hand. He still wouldn’t move. Then I grabbed him by the neck of his hoodie, kneed him in the face and tossed him aside on the kitchen floor.

Brendan Schaub
Rousey briefly dated former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub. Rousey claimed the former heavyweight played “f—up mind games” during their relationship, alleging that Schaub — now a comedian and podcast host — didn’t want to be viewed as Rousey’s boyfriend.
Rousey referenced Schaub in her latest book, “Our Fight: A Memoir.” In the excerpt, she detailed that she was in a romance with a fighter who lost to Browne via first-round knockout. Rousey said she relished in seeing her then-boyfriend pummel Schaub.
“When Travis knocked him out at the end of the first round, I didn’t think it could get any more gratifying,” Rousey wrote, per MMA Mania. “My ex covered up on the ground while Travis pounded away on him. The referee waved the match over. Then Travis, towering over the crumpled, semi-conscious body of my ex, leaned down and whispered something in his ear. His words were indiscernible to the camera, but I swore I could hear Travis’ voice saying, ‘Ronda says f—k you.’”

Schaub wasn’t all that complimentary when discussing Rousey, telling Joe Rogan that he was “too much of a man” for Rousey (per MMA Mania).
“I’m not the guy for the job. I’m just not,” Schaub said. “She needs a guy who’s gonna take a backseat. That’s not me. She also needs a guy that’s gonna say ‘yes ma’am, yes ma’am’.
“She’s so successful, she’s surrounded by people that worship her and go ‘yes, yes, that’s a great idea’. But when I said ‘I don’t think that’s a good idea,’ now I’m a hater.”
Travis Browne
Browne and Rousey started dating in 2015. They were wed in 2017 and have two children together: daughters La’akea and Liko’ula.
