Former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel has been out of football for a decade, but he isn’t out of the spotlight.
The 33-year-old still likes to have a good time and doesn’t hide from the spotlight. In a matter of weeks, he will be doing something new under that spotlight: boxing.
Manziel is set to fight a popular social media influencer in Las Vegas, making for a fascinating transition from football to boxing for at least one night.

Johnny Manziel fight details
Manziel is scheduled to fight influencer Bob Menery at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on May 23. The fight will be promoted by Brand Risk Promotions, which is run by controversial streamer Adin Ross.
The fight will take place in Las Vegas rather than Miami because UFC leader Dana White is hosting, adding another layer of legitimacy to the match.
Both Manziel and Menery have promoted the fight on social media, with Ross at the center of the promotions.
Is Johnny Manziel fighting in the UFC?
Manziel’s fight isn’t an official UFC fight, but it was enough to get White’s attention. White will host the fight at UFC Apex in Las Vegas despite it originally being expected to land in Miami.
The fight is instead put together by Ross’ Brand Risk Promotions (BRP) and labeled as Event 14. BRP has hosted several other celebrity fights, including one involving former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell that took place in late 2025.

Who is Bob Menery?
Menery is a 38-year-old social media influencer who rose to fame by doing parody sports broadcasting videos. Menery took advantage of his voice, which has the natural sound of a broadcaster, and produced satirical videos ranging from hilarious to profane on TikTok and other social media platforms.
Menery would go on to start the popular “Full Send Podcast,” become involved in NASCAR and gain millions of followers on social media. Menery also co-owns an arena football team in Fan Controlled Football that Manziel happened to play for in 2021 and 2022.
Originally from Massachusetts, Menery is now crossing paths again with the Texas-born Manziel for a boxing match that will put each star’s athleticism to the test.

Manziel measured in at 6-0 and 210 pounds during his brief NFL career, though it’s likely his weight has fluctuated a full decade later.
Bob Menery height, weight
Menery’s weight isn’t known, but he is believed to be well shorter than Manziel. Tennis.com wrote in 2020 that Menery is 5-9, while IMDb lists Menery at 5-7.
As long as those figures are close to accurate, Manziel will have the height advantage in Las Vegas.
