For the sixth time in seven LIV Golf events this season, Phil Mickelson will not be in the field. The 55 year old is set to miss another LIV start at Trump National DC this week. He has played in only one event, a T-48 finish in South Africa in March, and also missed playing in the Masters last month due to a family health matter.

His status for the PGA Championship next week at Aronimink is in doubt, too, though the full field is expected to be announced Tuesday.

Mickelson has a lifetime exemption into the PGA Championship thanks to his wins, and this year is the five-year anniversary of his thrilling victory at Kiawah Island in 2021.

He has been quiet on social media recently. Before a post Monday, he had not posted on X (formerly Twitter) since congratulating Rory McIlroy on winning the Masters.

Scott Vincent will replace the HyFlyers captain this week in D.C. And, according to the LIV Golf rules, there’s a chance Vincent replaces Mickelson for the remainder of the season.

Vincent, a wild card, was pulled up to the roster for the Mexico City event. Per LIV rules, any wildcard player who is pulled up to a roster must remain for the season, similar to Anthony Kim joining the 4Aces earlier this year.

What does that mean for Lefty? Only time will tell.
