History is on the verge of being made by female driver Dystany Spurlock.

Spurlock, who is Black, is set to make her NASCAR Truck Series debut next week. The Black female driver is set to drive the No. 69 truck for MBM Motorsports/Garage 66. She’ll be competing at Watkins Glen.

The female driver will become the first Black woman to compete in a major national NASCAR event.

NASCAR insider Bob Pockrass shared the historic news.

“Dystany Spurlock will make her truck debut next week at Watkins Glen. She’ll drive the No. 69 truck for MBM Motorsports/Garage 66. She would be the first Black woman to compete as a driver in NASCAR’s three national series,” he shared.
