The Legacy Motor Club owner says the No. 13 holds a special meaning to his partner, Knighthead Capital. The number also has significance to Johnson, who won his first Cup Series race in his 13th start.

This is a shocking development, as Johnson has run the No. 48 car and No. 84 car for most of his Cup Series career. It will be Johnson’s first and last start with the No. 13 car in the 2027 Daytona 500.
