Alycia Baumgardner vs. Bo Mi Re Shin is on April 17 from New York. The main card starts at 10 p.m. ET, with prelim action starting at 6:30 p.m. ET. The main event should begin around midnight ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last.
Baumgardner (17-1) became undisputed in 2023. She tested positive for a banned substance, and though she was later deemed not guilty, it slowed her career down, competing only once in 2024. “The Bomb” signed with Most Valuable Promotions and won two fights in 2025.
The 31-year-old is ready for massive fights against Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano. Those two have headlined Madison Square Garden’s main theater. Competing at the Infosys Theater at MSG, under three-minute rounds, Baumgardner aims to make a statement on fight night.
“When we talk about equality, and we talk about the standards we’re setting, three minutes is no issue, and I look forward to it,” Baumgardner said. “When you see a type of style like mine, very poised, who knows how to box, who knows how to punch, who uses a jab to set things up, you appreciate the extra minute.
“Come April 17, you’ll see again why three minutes is the standard and why champions like myself can separate those from others.”
Bo Mi Re Shin (19-3-3) won international gold but failed to capture the WBC lightweight title in 2025 against Caroline Dubois. The South Korean last fought in November, beating Tywarna Campbell. She has ten wins via knockout.
