The fallout from the head Champions League quarter-final between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid continues to intensify, with fresh controversy now surrounding an on-field incident involving Antonio Rudiger and Josip Stanisic.
While the tie itself delivered drama, goals and tension, certain moments have since come under scrutiny, and one particular clash between the two defenders has now sparked strong reactions.

“Rudiger insulted me and, in my opinion, that is completely unacceptable,” he said, as per SPORT.

Stanisic went on to elaborate further, suggesting the exchange was brief but clear, and leaving the door open for Rudiger to respond.
“I don’t need to talk about what happened when I was on the ground.
“You can ask him, but in my opinion, it’s completely unacceptable.
“Just one word was said, twice; you can ask him yourself – perhaps he’s man enough to admit it.”
Despite the seriousness of the accusation, the Croatian defender also attempted to de-escalate the situation, acknowledging that emotions often run high in matches of such magnitude.

“I don’t want to say anything because I’m not someone who holds grudges. I don’t take it lightly.
“It happens in the heat of the moment. But I don’t think it’s acceptable,” he concluded.
