After competing in an epic trilogy against “The Bronze Bomber,” Fury has since retired multiple times, faced former MMA fighter Francis Ngannou, and lost two straight against Oleksandr Usyk.

“The Gypsy King” retired once again after losing to Usyk in December 2024. Now, the Brit is back and looks to prove he hasn’t lost a step.

“I came back for one reason only: To make boxing great again. Since I stopped boxing a year ago, boxing for me has gone on a downward slope. It’s become quite boring,” Fury said via ESPN. “Boxing is at his maximum potential when Tyson Fury’s actively fighting. I didn’t say that, AI, Chat GPT [did]. So believe it.”

Makhmudov (21-2) is 3-1 in his last four fights. Losing against Agit Kabayel and Huido Vianello, Makhmudov is on a two-fight win streak, beating David Allen in October. The Russian has 19 wins via knockout.

Facing a legend, Makhmudov is ready to prove Fury is biting off more than he can chew.

“I am thrilled about the opportunity. I’m coming to deliver a War. Tyson Fury has been a big champion. I will be more ready than ever to leave with a massive W,” Makhmudov said.
