Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing has made two more key additions to its growing roster of U.S. talent. The promotional company announced Wednesday that it has signed ex-title challenger Edgar Berlanga and IBF super lightweight champion Richardson Hitchins to multi-fight promotional deals.

Berlanga and Hitchins are the latest names to join a stable that also includes British superstar Conor Benn and former IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia.

Berlanga (23-2, 18 KOs) unsuccessfully challenged Saul “Canelo” Alvarez for the undisputed super middleweight title in September 2024. The Nuyorican returned to winning ways with an opening-round TKO win over Jonathan Gonzalez-Ortiz in March 2025, but was then stopped by Hamzah Sheeraz this past July.

Hitchins (20-0, 8 KOs) is the reigning IBF super lightweight champion. The American captured the title with a unanimous decision victory over Liam Paro in December 2024, and then beat another Aussie, George Kambosos Jr., in his lone title defense this past June.

Hitchins was scheduled to face Oscar Duarte on the Feb. 21 Ryan Garcia vs. Mario Barrios undercard, but was forced to withdraw from the bout on the day it was scheduled to take place due to illness.

The fight with Duarte will not be rescheduled because the IBF has ordered Hitchins to face his mandatory challenger, Lindolfo Delgado, next. The IBF informed Uncrowned this week that negotiations are ongoing between the pair.

Both Berlanga and Hitchins will make their Zuffa Boxing debuts in the summer, per a press release.
