Tim Tszyu vs. Denis Nurja live updates and highlights

Nelson Asofa-Solomona overcomes tough Jarrod Wallace

In the battle of the former NRL front-rowers, Asofa-Solomona scored a third-round knockout over Wallace, but the former Queensland Origin rep wasn’t disgraced.

Wallace rocked NAS with two big shots late in the first round, seeing the pair tangle and take each other to the canvas.

Asofa-Solomona was cut over the eye from a head clash in the chaos.

By the third round, the Kiwi has fought his way back into the bout and dropped Wallace with a right uppercut followed by an overhand right.

That probably should have been the end but referee Will Soulos let them continue after the restart, seeing Wallace go down one more time.

Callum Peters scores another all-action KO

Yet another early stoppage victory for “50 Cal”, who continues to enhance his reputation as one of the country’s best boxing prospects.

A relentless volume puncher, Peters found himself in with a perfect dance partner in Delio Mouzinho, as the Timor Leste fighter was more than happy to go shot for shot with the young South Australian.

Peters dropped Mouzinho after a vicious combination late in the first, before doing the same in the second, finishing it off with a right hand which put his man down for a second time and ended the fight.

Paulo Aokuso destroys injured Kittipong Jian Hao Ho

Former Olympian Aokuso made light work for his Thai opponent, who clearly came into the bout with an injury.

Jian Hao Ho hit the canvas in the opening seconds, seemingly struggling with a pre-existing knee injury, which was already strapped as he entered the ring.

It was later revealed to be a torn ACL.

Aokuso made the most of the sitting duck in front of him, dropping him twice, with the second enough for Will Soulos to wave the bout off in the final minute of the opening round.

Charlie Kazzi and Blair Geraghty fight out a draw

(95-95 x2, 96-94 Geraghty)

After 10 close rounds, the Australian super lightweight title remained vacant, with Kazzi and Geraghty unable to be split.

One judge scored the bout for Geraghty, while the other two had it even, which felt like a fair enough result from our vantage point.

Max Reeves outlasts Francis Waitai in split decision

SD10 (99-91, 98-92, 94-96)

Rising Victorian Reeves took home the WBO Oriental Super Middleweight title with a split-decision victory over the ultra-durable Waitai.

Both fighters enjoyed periods of success and displayed strong chins and varied offence, but it was Reeves who got the nod from two judges after 10 hard rounds.

Dharringarra Trewhella defeats tough Dominic Bailey

UD5 (48-46 x2, 49-45)

Trewhella looked like he might get the super welterweight opener done early after knocking Bailey down with an uppercut in the first round.

Bailey worked into the fight nicely, aided by a cut over Trewhella’s right eye, but all three judges were in agreement on the winner.
