Cleetus McFarland will be racing on Saturday afternoon. McFarland and the No. 33 team for Richard Childress Racing are locked into the NASCAR O’Reilly Series race at Rockingham Speedway after AM Racing withdrew Nick Sanchez. With Sanchez no longer racing, there are 38 entries for 38 spots on Saturday.
The Richard Childress Racing driver initially had to make it on speed due to owner’s points, but unless another team shockingly enters the event, he is in the show. McFarland, who ran the NASCAR Truck Series race at Daytona International Speedway in February, will be making his O’Reilly Series debut at Rockingham.

McFarland signed a two-year contract with Richard Childress Racing to run a few races per season. It is an excellent opportunity for McFarland, who hopes to race at Daytona and Talladega Superspeedway later in the campaign. For now, McFarland is locked into the race at Rockingham and hopes for a good run in the No. 33 car.
