The co-main event for this past Saturday’s UFC Seattle event featured a scary moment involving Maycee Barber.
Barber, who was knocked out by Alexa Grasso live on Paramount+ in the first round, has taken to social media to try and calm fight fans around the world who have been worried and concerned about her well-being.
“I don’t really remember a whole lot,” Barber said. “All I know is every time I go on social media, I look like I’m dead.
“That’s not a very fun thing to see, so I’ve been trying to stay off social media.”

Scary finish at UFC event in Seattle live on Paramount+
Barber was caught by Grasso, who immediately fell to the ground. As she did, Grasso attempted to start a rear-naked choke, but the referee jumped in and stopped the contest.
As Grasso celebrated, she quickly realized something was off with her fallen opponent and dropped to her knees as medical staff checked in on Barber. The UFC veteran remained down for over a minute, as the camera caught a look into her eyes that showed her motionless.
Barber had won her last seven fights in a row entering the night, including a December 2025 victory over Karine Silva to get to 15-2 overall. Of her three career defeats, two have come at the hands of Grasso.
