In that case, however, Manu’s departure could be less painful for fans if Sassuolo’s Ismael Koné, born in 2002, were to replace him.

In the previous summer transfer window, Inter had already made an offer for Manu Koné, but the move never materialized, partly due to opposition from Claudio Ranieri, who did not want to part with the French midfielder.

For Ismael Koné, however, Sassuolo is asking around €30 million. In this scenario, Roma could seize the opportunity to cash in and replace the French international midfielder with the young Canadian, which would ease the disappointment of his namesake’s departure.
