Real Madrid did not start off the month of March on the best note, losing to Getafe in La Liga. But things have picked up for Alvaro Arbeloa & co. since then as they have since picked up four wins in four matches across all competitions.
As far as La Liga is concerned, Los Blancos bounced back from the Getafe loss by beating Celta Vigo (2-1) before thrashing Elche (4-1).

It has allowed Real Madrid to stay within touching distance of league leaders FC Barcelona, and one of the main contributors in the team’s positive run has been Federico Valverde.
The Uruguayan international started all three league games this month for Real Madrid and even scored the match-winning goal against Celta and followed it up with another strike versus Elche.
It has earned the 27-year-old a nomination for the La Liga Player of the Month for March.
Valverde will go up against Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal, Villarreal star Santi Comesana, Real Sociedad’s Goncalo Guedes, and Carlos Espi of Levante for the honour.

Meanwhile, another key contributor in Real Madrid’s recent run, Arda Guler, finds himself nominated for the La Liga U-23 Player of the Month for March.
The Turkish international registered an assist in Los Blancos’ last-gasp win over Celta Vigo before scoring a golazo from over 70 yards out against Elche, earning him the nomination.
Guler will be up against former Real Madrid starlet Victor Munoz, who now plays for Osasuna, Claudio Echeverri of Getafe, Pau Navarro of Villarreal, and Oso of Sevilla for the award.
What’s more, the playmaker’s wonderstrike against Elche has also been nominated for La Liga Goal of the Month for March.
