Guernsey FC will face a financial challenge if they have to replay their away trip to Midhurst and Easebourne.
Tuesday’s Southern Combination Premier Division game was abandoned during the second half with Guernsey 4-1 up after a head injury to one of the home players.

Any rearranged fixture will almost certainly be schedule in the middle of a week, meaning extra hotel expenses on top of flights for the game.
“It’s unfortunate, but first and foremost, we’re concerned about the injury or potential injury to the player, but it’s a difficult situation to find yourself in,” Guernsey FC director Nic Legg told BBC Radio Guernsey.
“We need to speak to the league first, confirm that the game is definitely not going to stand as a result, which I don’t think it will.
“Then obviously we’ll need to check with our opponents whether they’ve got other games, because it’s going to have to be a midweek game.

“We’ll look to play the fixture as soon as we can and that comes with a challenge of raising the squad again, but also financially.
“The flights we had last night and the hotel we had were wasted in many ways, but it is what it is, it’s a challenge.”
Guernsey would have been within two points of second-placed Haywards Heath Town had the result stood.
The Green Lions recovered from conceding early on as Jacques Cauvin and Will Fazakerley each scored twice and remain third in the Southern combination Premier Division.
“It hasn’t happened to us before, we’ll have to deal with it and if the game is in perhaps two or three weeks time we have to make sure we get a good squad because every point is important at the moment,” added Legg.

“We’re looking at it that we need to win the game, we’re trying to finish as high as we can in the league to try and get a home play-off, so we can’t afford to be dropping points.
“But logistically and financially it’s given us a bit of a headache.”
