Bryson DeChambeau went viral for all the wrong reasons overnight.
The first- and second-round leader at 2026 LIV Golf Singapore found himself in a precarious situation Saturday at Sentosa Golf Club. His tee shot came to rest on a slope above a bunker, leaving him an uneven lie and zero margin for error on his second shot.

He took a stance, with the ball way above his feet and hacked away as if he was swinging a baseball bat, but not even the burly DeChambeau could stay on his feet. Down he went, and the ball sailed opposite field into another bunker.
“Not the most elegant of follow-throughs,” David Feherty quipped.
DeChambeau would go on to make bogey on the hole, one of four he made during the third round in a 1-over 72 effort.
“I almost played just as good as yesterday, just things didn’t line up,” he said.
With 18 holes to play in Singapore, DeChambeau is tied for third with Richard T. Lee, a LIV wildcard looking to make a bit of history himself. No wildcard player has finished better than T-12 in any LIV event. The duo sit at 9 under, a shot behind the co-leaders, Joaquin Niemann and Lee Westwood.

Niemann, who won five times in 2025, shot 5-under 66, the second-best round of the day behind Sergio Garcia’s 65. Westwood carded a second straight 68 and is looking for his second top-five finish on LIV Golf.
“I hit the ball unbelievable today compared to the other days,” Niemann said. “I was able to see the ball in the windows that I was seeing in my mind. Yeah, it was nice. I played pretty confident. I was able to attack a lot of pins. Especially with the wind, I was feeling like I was able to control the trajectory really good.”
Jon Rahm sits fifth at 7 under.
Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces lead the team competition at 16 under, two ahead of Rahm’s Legion XIII and Cameron Smith’s Ripper GC.
