Scottie Scheffler is back this week in Arizona.

The world’s top-ranked golfer is in the field for this year’s WM Phoenix Open, marking his first outing since he picked up his inaugural win of the season two weeks ago.

Scheffler picked up a dominant four-shot win at The American Express and completely ran away with the event. It marked his 14th win in his last 35 starts, too, and the 20th of his career — which granted him a lifetime exemption on the PGA Tour. He hasn’t missed a cut anywhere on Tour since August 2022, though his worst finish last season was at the WM Phoenix Open. He finished T25.

Several other big names are in the field this week, including Xander Schauffele, Viktor Hovland, Jordan Spieth, J.J. Spaun, Collin Morikawa and more. Brooks Koepka will make his second start back after leaving LIV Golf, too. Koepka made the cut on the number last week at the Farmers Insurance Open, and ended up finishing 4-under on the week.

Joel Dahmen was granted a sponsor’s exemption this week, thanks to a letter he sent to the tournament. That letter, though, was attached to a golf polo — referencing the moment in 2022 when he ripped his shirt off on the iconic par-3 16th.
