The Henderson Silver Knights have signed defenseman Calen Addison to a one-year deal, the team announced Thursday.

A product of Brandon, Man., Addison split time last season between the Minnesota Wild and the San Jose Sharks. Over a combined 72 regular season games, Addison scored one goal and added 16 assists for 17 points.

Drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second round of the 2018 NHL Draft, Addison has played for the Wild and the Sharks throughout his NHL career. In 152 NHL regular season games, he has put up 50 points.

As Addison joins the Silver Knights, he should immediately slot into their top pairing. A consistent offensive producer during his AHL stints, if Addison plays well (and signs an NHL deal), he could be a solid depth option with the Vegas Golden Knights.
