The game didn’t go the Sun Devils’ way as they ended their season with a blowout loss, but Skattebo did receive a warm welcome back from the hometown fans.

The ASU student section went nuts as the youngster scootered towards them from midfield.

Later on, Skattebo took a few moments to provide an update on his recovery from the gruesome ankle injury that ended his rookie campaign.

“Everything is going good,” Skattebo told Blake Niemann of FOX 10 Phoenix. “We’re taking the right steps everyday to get better and that’s what matters — we don’t put a timeframe on anything, we’re just gonna continue to work until I’m ready.”

The 23-year-old was enjoying a spectacular rookie campaign prior to the injury, racking up 617 yards from scrimmage and seven touchdowns over his first eight pro games.
