Denny Hamlin is locked into the championship four in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.

He won the South Point 400, the first race of the Round of 8, on Sunday, Oct. 12, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, overtaking Chase Briscoe with four laps left. It was his first victory since Gateway five weeks ago.

Hamlin led only nine laps. He beat runner-up Kyle Larson and third-place finisher Briscoe with a final margin of 1.5 seconds.

As the first driver to clinch a spot in the final race of the season at Phoenix in three weeks, Hamlin doesn’t have to stress about upcoming trips to Talladega and Martinsville. Larson, Briscoe and Christopher Bell currently join him above the cutline.

Here is the full finishing order.
