1. Larissa Pacheco vs Cris Cyborg

In a sport where the women’s divisions are shallow and underdeveloped compared to their male counterparts, especially above 125-lbs, it is rare that the best fight on a stacked fight week like this one is from the fairer sex.

Yet that is the case this Saturday, as there will be nothing fair about these two violent Brazilian strikers. Cris Cyborg has been doing this for nigh on twenty years, and has maintained an 82% finish rate, only having gone to a decision six times ever.

As one of the pioneers of women’s MMA alongside women like Gina Carano, it is impressive to see Cyborg performing at a high level still. But at age 39 will she meet her match in Larissa Pacheco?

Pacheco had a short stint in the UFC in 2014-15 where she only faced and lost to two future champions (Germaine de Randamie and Jessica Andrade). She has only improved since then, as proven by her ability to beat Kayla Harrison in their third fight. Pacheco may not be as devastating a puncher as Cyborg, but her grappling is approaching an elite level. Her youth and speed will be big advantages in this one.

I expect a war and truly have no idea who will win. This is as competitive as fights get. With a belt on the line and knockout power in each woman’s hands, the stakes are as high as they get for this clash in Saudi Arabia.
