Zane Smith’s No. 38 Ford Mustang flipped on its side after John Hunter Nemechek hit the left front quarter panel of the car late in the NASCAR Kansas race on Sept. 28.

Nemechek made contact with Ty Gibbs and Josh Berry before contacting Smith’s car in the Hollywood Casino 400.

Smith was not injured and walked away from the crash. He was in 15th place at the time of the incident.

After turning on its side up against the fence, Smith’s car slid for several feet.

The car then rolled several times down the track before settling upright. It caused the ninth caution of the race.

Smith finished the race 31st. Chase Elliott edged Denny Hamlin in a wild finish that had four leaders in the final two laps.
