The NASCAR Cup Series continues in the playoffs with the Mobil 1 301 on Sept. 21 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Now into the Round of 12, the New Hampshire race is the first of three in the second round of the playoffs.
Joe Gibbs Racing drivers have won the first three playoff races this season, including Christopher Bell’s victory at Bristol last weekend.
Here are The Tennessean’s expert picks for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at New Hampshire:
Mike Organ’s pick: Ryan Blaney, No. 12 Team Penske Ford
It’s time for someone other than a Joe Gibbs Racing driver to win in the postseason and I like Blaney to be that driver. Blaney has momentum after claiming top-10 finishes in eight of the last nine Cup Series races.
Nick Gray’s pick: Christopher Bell, No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota
How about this for an even grander prediction: Bell wins six races all year, but they come in two sets of back-to-back-to-back victories. New Hampshire is the second of three in this segment. And if he does win on Sunday, I think you’ll know my Kansas pick.
Tom Kreager’s pick: Chase Briscoe, No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota
Briscoe has a win in the playoffs, but it’s time for the next round. Briscoe collects another win to keep Joe Gibbs Racing’s win streak alive in the NASCAR playoffs.
