Tennis fans have been treated to an unusual tournament featuring some of the biggest stars of the men’s game this week.
The Six Kings Slam event, held as part of the Riyadh Season series in Saudi Arabia, has brought together six of the finest players on the ATP Tour for some lucrative exhibition matches.
World No. 1 Jannik Sinner and four-time major champion Carlos Alcaraz have been joined in Riyadh by Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, two of the greatest players in the sport’s history. The winner will be crowned on Saturday, October 19, and will take home a substantial pay packet — one that dwarfs even the grandest events on the professional circuit.

Six Kings Slam prize money: Total purse at Riyadh Season event
According to widespread reports, the total prize fund for the Six Kings Slam is US$14.3 million. Each player is guaranteed at least $1.5m, regardless of their results at the event.
The winner of the title stands to earn approximately $6m, which is significantly greater than purses available even at grand slams.
How does Six Kings Slam prize money compare to grand slams?
The winner of the Six Kings Slam takes home around $6m, which is nearly double the total prize money on offer at the four grand slams: the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.
Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka eared AU$3.15m (around $2.12m) for winning the 2024 Australian Open. Carlos Alcaraz and Barbora Krejcikova won approximately $3.5m as Wimbledon champions this year.
The biggest prize fund at any tournament this year was the US Open. From a record total pool of $75m, $3.6m was paid out to the men’s and women’s champions, Sinner and Sabalenka.
