College golf facilities: Duke’s Karcher-Ingram Golf Center
Duke’s Andie Smith gives a tour of the Blue Devils’ practice facility, the Karcher-Ingram Golf Center.
As far as on-campus facilities, Duke has some of the best in the country and was ahead of the curve in the college golf arms race.
The Karcher-Ingram Golf Facility opened in 2005. Priced at a little more than $3 million, the two-story, 5,500-square-foot building is home of the men’s and women’s programs, an indoor training and practice facility, lounges and more.
That’s not all. There’s also the Rod Myers Training Center, an outdoor facility that underwent a facelift in 2010 to improve the driving range, chipping area and practice green.
Add in Duke University Golf Club, the Blue Devils have a little bit of everything for their student-athletes to have their golf games in top shape every season.
Here’s a look at more college golf practice facilities.
