The college football season is in full swing, and conference action heats up on Saturday with several pivotal matchups, including Auburn vs. Oklahoma, Illinois vs. Indiana, Michigan State vs. USC and Michigan vs. Nebraska. The Cornhuskers enter Saturday’s showdown against the Wolverines averaging 49 points per game, which ranks ninth in the nation. Michigan will be without head coach Sherrone Moore on Saturday against Nebraska due to suspension. According to the latest Week 4 college football odds, the Wolverines are still favored by 1.5 points, while the over/under for total points scored is 45.5. SportsLine’s model is backing Michigan, which is 18-2 in its last 20 games played in September, to cover the spread in 63% of simulations at Nebraska.

The model is also backing USC (-17.5) to cover at home against Michigan State, while the Over (57.5) hits 65% of the time in Oregon State vs. Oregon. Other notable Week 4 college football lines include SMU vs. TCU (-7), Texas Tech vs. Utah (-2.5) and Auburn vs. Oklahoma (-6.5). Michigan -1.5 vs. Nebraska

The Wolverines have dominated this series in recent years, winning four of the last five meetings against Nebraska, and freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood seems to be finding his footing at the collegiate level. In last week’s 63-3 win over Central Michigan, Underwood completed 16 of 25 passes for 235 yards and a touchdown, while also leading the team in rushing with 114 yards and two scores on nine carries. Meanwhile, Nebraska is 1-5 in its last six meetings against an opponent from the Big Ten. The model is projecting Michigan to cover the spread in 63% of simulations, providing clear value on the spread.

USC -17.5 vs. Michigan State

The Trojans are firing on all cylinders offensively to start the 2025 season. USC is scoring 55 points per game on average, the second-best mark in college football. Michigan State, meanwhile, gave up 40 points to Boston College on Sept. 26, and now the Spartans will face a Trojans offense with explosive playmakers at every position. In addition, Michigan State is 0-8 against the spread in its last eight games and 3-14 in its past 17 games on the road. SportsLine’s model is backing USC to cover the spread in 68% of simulations, targeting the Trojans as one of its top Week 4 college football picks.

Over 57.5 points in Oregon State vs. Oregon

This heated in-state rivalry has been one-sided in recent years, with Oregon winning 17 of the past 20 meetings against Oregon State. The Ducks look like a legitimate national title contender in 2025 thanks to an offense that scores in bunches. The Ducks are averaging 64 points per game at home this season, while Oregon State has given up at least 34 points in every game in 2025. Oregon secured a 49-14 win over Oregon State last season, and SportsLine’s model is projecting these rivals will combine for 67 points on Saturday, helping the Over hit in 65% of simulations.
