Report – Inter Milan Only Willing To Renew Swiss Goalkeeper’s Contract If He Accepts To Be Backup Option

Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly willing to offer Yann Sommer a short-term contract extension on one condition.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri plan to make the 36-year-old a backup option.

Furthermore, the club could implement this decision with immediate effect.

Indeed, after a horror show in a 4-3 defeat at Juventus last weekend, Yann Sommer is no longer indispensable in goal.

On the contrary, Cristian Chivu is ready to bench the Swiss star.
