Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud got a slight bump in the newest ratings update for Madden NFL 25, while the Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott and New York Jets’ Aaron Rodgers weren’t so fortunate.

This was the first update since Week 4. Over his last two starts, Stroud threw for 523 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions while completing 69.6 percent of his passes. As a result, his overall rating improved by two points to 85. He saw a boost in his awareness (86), throwing under pressure (88) and throwing accuracy short (91).

Prescott (89 overall) and Rodgers (83 overall) each lost one point. The latter saw a particularly noticeable hit in his awareness rating, which fell from 82 to 78.

Prescott wasn’t the only Cowboys player who watched their overall rating fall on the heels of a 47-9 hammering at the hands of the Detroit Lions. Right guard Zack Martin lost two points (95 overall) and cornerback Trevon Diggs is down from 88 to 87.

The Week 6 update reflects how Derrick Henry has yet to cool off. After combining to rush for 224 yards and three scores in back-to-back wins, the Baltimore Ravens running back sits at 97 overall. The San Francisco 49ers’ Christian McCaffrey is the only running back with a higher player rating.

Like Henry, Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II (97 overall) and New York Jets defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence II (96 overall) inched toward a perfect rating as well.

The Jets might wish now that they had waited until the Madden update before acquiring Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders. Despite not playing because of a hamstring injury, the veteran wide receiver slipped from 94 overall to 92.

Adams lost three points each for release (94) and route-running for medium throw (92) and deep throws (91).

The six-time Pro Bowler is on track to play Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, so he might be able to get his Madden ratings headed back in the right direction.
