OTTUMWA — The Cedar Creek women’s golf league tournament began on Tuesday morning. The scores on the opening nine determined the flights for next Tuesday’s final round, which will be played on the back nine.

The championship flight for golfers using regular tees will feature five golfers competing for title separated by just three strokes. Luann Swanson and Susie Wilson will open Tuesday’s final round sharing the lead one stroke ahead of Kathy Courtney and Janice Zeller, both of whom sank birdie putts on the seventh hole, while Ruth Patritto edged Kim Hellige by a shot for the final spot in the flight.
