Sudinfo are reporting that Charleroi defender Velte Dragsnes is set to return to the Eliteserien. The 31-year-old full-back will join Bergen club Brann and link up with former Kortrijk head coach Freyr Alexandersson. The Icelandic head coach has guided his side to third in the table, six points behind leaders Bodo/Glimt with a game in hand. The club are also going well in Europe, having beaten Swedish side BK Hacken in the latest round of Europa League qualification.

They will be hoping that Dragsnes can come in and boost their chances of qualifying for Europe and challenging for the title in Norway. The defender joined Charleroi from Lillestrom back in 2023, having spent two and a bit seasons with the club. Prior to that, Dragsnes had spent a number of years with Mjondalen. His best season in Norway came in 2022, with six goals and three assists in 39 games for Lillestrom.

Despite scoring on the opening day of the season, Dragsnes has not been a first team regular for the side since he joined two seasons ago. He looks set to leave the club with 73 games played, four goals scored and four assists provided.
