Philadelphia Eagles guard Landon Dickerson had to be helped off the field and carted back to the locker room after he went down with a right leg injury on Sunday.

Dickerson fell to the ground awkwardly on a pass play late during the team’s open practice at Lincoln Financial Field. Dickerson remained down for several minutes before he was eventually helped up onto the cart and taken off the field. He wasn’t able to place much weight on his leg at all as he left, either.

Further specifics on Dickerson’s injury are not yet known. He was not listed on the team’s injury report on Sunday, though he was limited the day before due to a knee injury.

The Eagles selected Dickerson with the No. 37 overall pick in 2021 out of Alabama, which he helped lead to a national title just a few months prior. He signed a four-year, $84 million deal with the franchise before last season that will keep him there through the 2028 campaign.

He’s made the Pro Bowl in each of the last three seasons, and he’s helped anchor the Eagles’ dominant offensive line since entering the league. Running back Saquon Barkley ran for a league-high 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns while putting up 125.3 rushing yards per game last season on their Super Bowl run behind Dickerson and the rest of the offensive line. While it’s unclear how long he’ll be out, any extended absence would undoubtedly be a significant blow the Eagles.
