Manchester City have today announced the signing of goalkeeper Eartha Cumings. The Scottish international joins the club from Swedish side FC Rosengård. The 26 year old will take the No.1 shirt after signing a three year deal that will see her remain in Manchester until 2028. Cummings is City’s fourth signing of the summer with Jade Rose, Sydney Lohmann and Iman Beney also joining the side.

Cumings had an unforgettable season in the Damallsvenskan, starring in every top-flight game for the club where she conceded just nine goals over the course of the campaign. Her heroics in goal saw Rosengård bag the title, having finished seventh in the league the season prior.

Speaking on the move, the goalkeeper said, “I think it’s an exciting team and it’s always nice to come close to home. There are a lot of young players, but also a bit of a mix and obviously, City has reallyhigh ambitions and aspirations, so it’s an exciting time to be a part of this team. From the outside, it looks like a really great goalkeeper union and like it looks like they have great fun. So, I’m looking forward to being part of it.”

Manchester City Women’s Director of Football Therese Sjogran added: “Eartha is an impressivegoalkeeper that will bring even more international experience to our squad. She gives her all on and off the pitch, and we’re looking forward to welcoming her to the team.”
