Scottie Scheffler’s Historic Earnings Revealed After The Open originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Scottie Scheffler continued his dominant 2025 season by winning his fourth career major title Sunday at The Open Championship at Royal Portrush.
That wasn’t the only milestone he hit, however. With the victory, Scheffler entered one of the most exclusive clubs in golf, the PGA Tour’s $90 million club.
According to updated earnings, Scheffler now sits at $90,996,470 in PGA Tour career winnings, making him the fourth player in history to cross the $90 million mark. He joins the legendary trio of Tiger Woods ($120.9M), Rory McIlroy ($107.1M) and Phil Mickelson ($96.7 million).
Incredibly, Scheffler has earned more than $19 million in 2025 and it’s still July. Given the purse-size and enhanced prize money breakdown within the FedEx Cup playoffs, he has a good chance to surpass Mickelson and could reach McIlroy this year should he continue this level of play across next month.

At the top, Tiger Woods remains untouchable for now with $120,999,126 in earnings, supported by 82 PGA Tour wins and 15 majors. But at Scheffler’s pace, the gap is narrowing fast. It now seems the question of Scheffler eventually topping the career money list is no longer if but when.
Scheffler, who owns 17 PGA Tour wins, will take a much-deserved break this week, sitting out the PGA Tour’s 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota. The tournament begins Thursday.
With the FedEx Cup playoffs looming and Scheffler firing on all cylinders, the money and the milestones keep rolling in.
