Oleksandr Usyk revealed to Darren Barker during an interview on DAZN who the biggest puncher he has shared the ring with during his 23-fight professional career is.

When questioned if Daniel Dubois was the most powerful puncher he has experienced, Usyk’s reply was, “I think no.”

When specifically asked who was the biggest puncher, the Ukrainian replied, “I think it’s Derek [Chisora]. Crazy Derek, yeah.”

Usyk defeated Londoner Chisora on points in October 2020, in his second fight at heavyweight and first ever title fight in the new division after moving up from cruiserweight.

Chisora typically made things uncomfortable for his opponent by bringing high amounts of pressure in the opening stages of the contest, which Usyk won via unanimous decision.

Usyk became a heavyweight world champion in his next fight by dethroning Anthony Joshua.

Now Usyk prepares to clash with Dubois for a second time this Saturday night in London, live on DAZN. The July 19 showdown at Wembley Stadium will be the first time the undisputed heavyweight championship has been contested on UK soil.

Unified champ Usyk brings the WBC, WBA, WBO, IBO and Ring Magazine titles to the table and Dubois offers up his IBF belt in a winner takes all tussle.

Usyk has already defeated Dubois, almost two years ago in August 2023 in Poland. That rainy night in Wroclaw saw the Brit dropped in rounds eight and nine, opting to remain on one knee instead of trying to beat the count after being broken down by the incredible Ukrainian.

Since then, the Londoner has vastly improved, knocking out Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and Anthony Joshua all within nine months time.

The 27-year-old is still regarded as the underdog, but less so than before, making the rematch intriguing and exciting for the 90,000 live spectators filling the national stadium and for the many millions tuning in around the world.
