In a week which features no UFC card, PFL Europe is the only major regional show on offer today with their second event of the season happening in Brussels, Belgium.

Poised to draw in fans looking for some violence on the Saturday after Independence Day, the largest and eldest international PFL subdivision delivered early on.

The first six fights, including two bantamweight tournament quarterfinal matches, have all ended by finish, live on DAZN.

However, the real show-stealer was that sixth fight, as former KSW and Karate Combat fighter Gustavo Oliveira delivered a potential Knockout of the Year in his PFL Europe debut.

Opponent Anas Azizoun came forward with a jab but left his head exposed, prompting a perfectly timed spinning back elbow from Oliveira.

The Lisbon, Portugal resident by way of Brazil came into this fight 9-2, a decent 28-year-old prospect, but not one who most MMA fans will have heard of.

Until now, that is.

The video of the KO is already beginning to go viral due to the perfect timing, violent connection, and genuinely scary aftermath as his opponent fell stiff as a board, neck turned to the side.

Having the ability to score knockouts like that in the 135-lb weight class is a borderline superpower.

Oliveira just may be a name to watch out for if he can build on this and win the next two fights to capture the PFL Europe bantamweight title, the $100,000 prize money, and a spot on the PFL global roster.
