Golf Fans Calling Out Brooks Koepka For ‘Unacceptable’ Behavior originally appeared on The Spun.

A rough start went from bad to worse for Brooks Koepka at this week’s LIV Dallas event.

After getting off to a 7-over start, the five-time major champion took his frustrations out on the tee marker before waving the white flag and withdrawing from the tournament.

Many fans took to social media to voice their displeasure with Brooks’ tantrum on Friday.

“this type of behavior doesn’t belong on a golf course,” a user said.

“Wow, as I said when Rory did it, completely unacceptable,” another replied.

“Guy shouldn’t be anywhere near the Ryder cup team,” a fan posted.

“Needs a suspension,” another person commented. “Someone’s gonna get hurt if he ever does that with fans around.”

“bro tried to fight the course and lost lmao this is what happens when you peak at 24 and never evolve πŸ’€” a PGA fan laughed.

“#JusticeForTeeMarkers.”

“Hitting the tee marker towards fans is clown behavior,” another user pointed out.

“Hitting the tee marker towards the crowd 🀑 . Good thing no one goes to their events.”

Koepka cited illness following his Hole 9 bogey and decided to walk out of the tournament. He’s far from the only golfer in recent months to take his anger out on the golf course though.

Rory McIlroy, Wyndham Clark, Adam Hadwin and Tyrrell Hatton have all had separate incidents this season where they lashed out and left some damage in their wake.

For now Brooks will attempt to pick up the pieces and put together a better performance the next time he feels ready to tee it up.
