The UEFA EURO U21 tournament in Slovakia has been a great place to watch so many of the world’s best young players, and it’s delivered a familiar outcome.

England have repeated as champs, as manager Lee Carsley has another feather in his cap following a 3-2 extra time win over Germany in Slovakia.

Harvey Elliott and Omari Hutchinson gave the Three Lions a 2-0 lead in the final, but Mainz duo Nelson Weiper and Paul Nebel scored before and after halftime to send the title game to extra time.

That’s when Liverpool’s Tyler Morton set up Marseille forward Jonathan Rowe for a 92nd minute winner and another U21 crown.
