Florida State has suffered more attrition to its 2025 recruiting class.

Lovejoy (Tex.) four-star wide receiver Daylan McCutcheon announced that he is flipping his commitment from FSU to Texas via Hayes Fawcett on X.com moments ago.

The Longhorns were among several programs working to flip McCutcheon from FSU — using the Seminoles’ 1-5 start to the 2024 football season as ammunition to pull it off. He was at Texas for one of their home football games in recent weeks.

McCutcheon had been committed to the Seminoles in July — where he picked FSU over programs like Texas, USC, SMU, Ohio State and plenty of others.

He bcomes the second wide receiver to decommit from the ‘Noles in as many weeks as four-star pass catcher Malik Clark decommitted and later flipped to South Carolina last week.

FSU’s 2025 class moves down from No. 34 to the No. 52 ranked class nationally according to the 247Sports Team Recruiting Rankings. The ‘Noles now only have ten prospects committed in this year’s class.

The ‘Noles are working to expand their receiver board — extending two offers at the position on Thursday.
