The Blues have secured the deal for Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap for £30 million, but they are looking to add another striker this summer.
Ekitike’s stellar rise at Frankfurt has caught the attention of a host of European heavyweights.
Following an underwhelming stint at Paris Saint-Germain, the 22-year-old enjoyed his breakout campaign in the 2024/25 season, playing a pivotal role in Frankfurt’s Champions League qualification.
The French youngster consistently showcased his productivity and creativity, bagging 22 goals and 12 assists in all competitions.
His all-round capabilities are further highlighted by his staggering 1.60 key passes, 1.90 dribbles and 3.04 progressive carries per game.
The Bundesliga giants want to keep hold of Ekitike, however, the increasing offers are prompting them to consider his sale.
The former Reims star also appears to be ready to move to a top club, but the Eagles are not budging away from their €100 million valuation.
The Blues are looking to overhaul their attack in the summer transfer window to build a formidable unit heading into the new season.
They are targeting more fresh faces in the forward line, while a handful of players have been linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge.
Enzo Maresca’s side are currently in negotiations to keep Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho beyond the summer.
They have a buy option worth £25 million, while they can also send the English winger back to Old Trafford for £5 million.
Christopher Nkunku, Joao Felix and Noni Madueke have also been placed on the chopping block.
Meanwhile, the UEFA Conference League winners are exploring a move to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens, who is rated at around £50 million.
