COLD SPRING — The Willmar boys golf team finished as the runner-up in a Central Lakes Conference meet hosted by Rocori on Monday.
Sartell won the CLC Invitational at 314, followed by Willmar’s 319 and Sauk Rapids’ 323 at Rich Spring Golf Club. Rocori’s Drew Austin won the meet, carding a 1-under-par 71.
Willmar saw a pair of sophomores place in the top five. Luke Larson took second at 74 and Aden Jacobson finished in a tie for third with Sartell’s Drew Bollinger and Isaac Bergstrom at 75.
Willmar competes in the Pre-Section 8AAA Invitational at 8 a.m. Friday at Greystone Golf Course in Sauk Centre.

New London-Spicer cruised to victory in the Glencoe-Silver Lake Invitational at Glencoe Country Club.
The Wildcats saw three of its four scoring golfers finish in the top five, led by Palmer Dalton and Max Truscinski. The two tied for first place with 71s. Blake Kath tied Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted’s Brayden Fobbe for fourth place at 75.
NLS was the only area school to have more golfers finish in the top 10. Reid Kath took ninth place by carding a 78 and Elden Halvorson tied for 10th with Mound Westonka’s Hudson Pundsack and Hutchinson’s Joe Anderson at 79.

Annandale placed first and Litchfield was second in a triangular at Litchfield Golf Club.
The Cardinals notched a 203, which defeated Litchfield’s 207.
Bailey Broich earned medalist honors with a 46 for the Cardinals.
Addyson Zens and Carly Twardy both had top 5 finishes for the Dragons. Zens came in second at 47 and Twardy finished fourth with a 52.

Central Minnesota Christian School’s boys and Dawson-Boyd’s girls were winners at the Camden North meet hosted by Dawson-Boyd at Dawson Golf Course.
CMCS’ boys scored a 154 to oust Dawson-Boyd’s 159 and Lac qui Parle Valley’s 160. The Blackjacks’ girls totaled a 164 and beat LQPV’s 189 and CCS’ 190.
LQPV’s Carson Besonen and Dawson-Boyd’s Lindsey Lund earned medalist honors in the boys and girls competitions. Besonen shot a one-under-par 34 and Lund carded a one-over-par 36.

Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City’s Brooke Brekke tied DeLaSalle’s Rayna Stecklein for third place at the Mound-Westonka Invitational at Burl Oaks Golf Club in Minnetrista.
Brekke and Stecklein each carded 78s. Holy Family’s Sophia Terris earned medalist honors with an invite-low 74 and Hutchinson’s Elle Schweim was second at 77.
Holy Family won the invite with a 332, which defeated Hutchinson at 365 and Delano and Orono, which both shot 400 to tie for third.
