Tyson Fury has called out Oleksandr Usyk for a trilogy fight, believing he was the rightful winner in both bouts.

The 38-year-old “Gypsy King” wrote on social media: “Beat the f—-r two times and the world knows the truth. Any time, any place, UK next time with 1000,000 people!”

A two-time world heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury locked horns with Oleksandr Usyk in May 2024, the unbeaten pair coming together in the first undisputed heavyweight championship contest of the century.

The fight see-sawed back and forth to a split decision on the cards, which Usyk edged. A single round proved the difference, when Usyk managed to give Fury a standing eight-count in the ninth, the 10-8 score ensured that he got the nod and became the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

The rematch came within the same calendar year, just seven months later in December, back in the same Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. This time, Usyk clinched the win a lot more conclusively, with all three judges unanimous in their scoring at 116-112.

Although the Briton got off to a bright start, Usyk pushed his pedal to the floor and more or less dominated the contest from the sixth round onwards, dominating the taller opponent with a six-inch height advantage.

The reaction from fight fans was that a trilogy could be pointless after such a decisive victory for Usyk in the rematch. Fury had promised to KO Usyk in the same way that he did to Deontay Wilder in build-up to their rematch, yet failed to live up to that vow.

Right now, Usyk is locked in to a rematch with Daniel Dubois on July 19 at Wembley Stadium, London.

The only two reigning world champions will come together in the first-ever undisputed word heavyweight championship contest on UK soil.

Usyk and Dubois fought once before, in August 2023, which ended in a ninth-round knockout. Usyk stopped the Brit with a jab and cheekily reminded him of that during their recent press launch.
