Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister has expressed his immense satisfaction with joining the club, claiming that moving to Anfield was the best decision he could have made.
The Reds secured the Premier League title after a commanding 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, where Mac Allister was named the man of the match.
Since joining from Brighton & Hove Albion in for £35 million in 2023, the Argentine has become an integral part of Liverpool’s first team.
Mac Allister, who won the 2022 World Cup with Argentina, shared his delight at winning the World Cup and the Premier League.
“It is an achievement that I really enjoyed but it would not be possible without my teammates,” Mac Allister said. “They are really important to me, and I am just one part of the puzzle.”
Mac Allister highlights Liverpool’s improvement
Liverpool were in the title race last season but ultimately finished behind Manchester City.
Mac Allister feels that the team has made a significant improvement this season, enabling them to lift the title.
“This team is really good,” he added. “Last year, we showed it, but it was not enough in the end. This time, we made a big difference, and we can enjoy it.”
Mac Allister also stated that joining Liverpool was the right choice and credited a couple of key individuals for sanctioning the move.
“I am really enjoying my time here,” he said. “It was the right decision and I always thank Jurgen [Klopp] because he was a really important part and Julian Ward as well.”
