As the road to the French Open heats up, all eyes will be on the 2025 Madrid Open which is set to take place in the Spanish capital beginning Tuesday, April 22.

World No. 2 Iga Swiatek is the defending champion coming into the 16th edition of the Madrid Open. She defeated current World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in an intense final last time to claim the title, and will look to repeat the feat this year.

Sabalenka herself will be keen to win her third Madrid Open title after missing out last year. 2025 Australian Open winner Madison Keys will also be in the running for the title.
