LIV Golf will have some added representation when the U.S. Open tees off on June 12 at the Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, Texas. Ahead of the tournament, LIV Golf announced one prominent golfer has been added to the field for the June major.
First, select PGA Tour and LIV golfers will participate in the PGA Championship from May 15-18. LIV golfers who will be participating in the PGA Championship include Jon Rahm, Brooks Kopeka, Bryson DeChambeau and Phil Mickelson.
As for the U.S. Open, LIV Golf announced that Joaquin Niemann has secured a spot in the tournament.
“The Torque GC captain clinched the LIV Golf exemption by virtue of his third victory of the 2025 season on Sunday at LIV Golf Mexico City and will be in the field in mid-June at Oakmont,” LIVGolf.com’s Mike McAllister wrote on April 28.
“It will be the sixth U.S. Open start for the 26-year-old Chilean, who is now scheduled to compete in the rest of this year’s majors after already playing the Masters earlier this month,” McAllister added.

“My team was asking me to sign up for the qualifier and the sectional, and I wasn’t really into that,” Niemann said, per LIVGolf.com. “So more than anything I’m grateful that I’m not playing 36 holes on a Monday after a tournament. Yeah, I’m pretty happy.”
