NASCAR is heading to Dover Motor Speedway for a weekend of racing action.
The Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 NASCAR Cup Series race is the highlight of a tripleheader including the NASCAR Xfinity Series and ARCA Menards Series throughout the weekend.
There is plenty happening at the Dover and the surrounding area throughout the weekend, including plenty of activity on Cup Series race day.

What to do around Dover Motor Speedway for NASCAR race weekend
MILES BEACH, PRESENTED BY VISIT DELAWARE: To celebrate a summer NASCAR weekend, Dover Motor Speedway and Visit Delaware are bringing the tradition, sounds and atmosphere of Delaware’s beach communities to the Monster Mile with the new Miles Beach, presented by Visit Delaware.
More than one acre of Dover’s Fan Zone will be devoted to Miles Beach, presented by Visit Delaware, with dozens of family friendly, beach-themed attractions available, including many FREE options.
Miles Beach, presented by Visit Delaware, hours include (all times Eastern):
- Friday, July 18: Noon- 9 p.m.
- Saturday, July 19: 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. (Monster Mile Bash presented by THOR)
- Sunday, July 20: 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Some Miles Beach attractions include:
- 600 tons of sand, lighthouse and more: Miles Beach will include 600 tons of sand to create an authentic beach area with ample seating and shade, along with an authentic boardwalk, palm trees, beach balls, Adirondack chairs, vintage cars and beach grasses! And you won’t be able to miss our 25-foot-tall Lighthouse!
- Boardwalk: What would a beach be without an iconic boardwalk? This structure, at the entrance of Miles Beach, will replicate what you will find at all of the famous Delaware beaches!
- The World’s Largest Rubber Duck: This 60-foot-tall, 15.5-ton yellow behemoth will return and tower over Miles Beach and the Fan Zone throughout Dover’s NASCAR weekend. A popular photo attraction, the duck has made frequent U.S. and international appearances in recent years.
- WHITE LIGHTNING Bar and Arcade, presented by BetRivers: An indoor/outdoor hangout for campers and fans to enjoy all weekend, featuring a full bar with Anheuser-Busch products as well as more than a dozen classic arcade favorites is named for the original nickname of Dover Motor Speedway’s concrete track.
- Delicious food and refreshing beverages: Featuring Delaware’s famous orange crushes, crispy boardwalk fries, Dolle’s salt-water taffy and popcorn, ice cream treats sweet treats and other beach-themed favorites.
- Live Appearances and performances: Miles Beach Stage: The can’t-miss location for entertainment all weekend with live music, celebrity and NASCAR driver appearances and zany, interactive fun! Music will be prominent all weekend long including performances on the stage and across the property by the Mariachi Arrieros Band, Trinidad North Steel Drum Band, The Red Hot Ramblers, and Homestead Bluegrass Band. - Huge 22-Ton Sand Sculpture Display: Watch as a talented sand sculptor constructs a masterpiece on Friday and Saturday to be ready for full display on Sunday.
- Miles Beach Patrol: Helpful staff members will be available to answer your questions and guide you around the beach area.
- Free Caricaturist: Custom drawings create a lasting keepsake from race weekend, available all weekend.
