Arizona’s 2025 signing class just got another major addition.

Five-star Brayden Burries committed to Arizona and Tommy Lloyd on Wednesday live on ESPN. This gives the Wildcast their second five-star recruit in two weeks, with Burries’ commitment following that of five-star forward Koa Peat.

A 6-foot-4, 200-pound combo guard from Eastvale (Calif.) Roosevelt, Burries ranks No. 11 nationally and committed to Lloyd and his staff after being on campus multiple times over the course of the past few years.

The battle for Burries was a knockdown dragout affair with the likes of Alabama, Oregon, Tennessee and USC were all making major pushes right up until the very end of his recruitment.

“The key factor was the trust with coach Lloyd and the staff,” said Burries on Sportscenter. “He’s been on me for three years now and he lets his guard play. His playing style fits me perfectly.”

With their leading scorer and most dynamic perimeter player Caleb Love out of eligibility, there will be a major void to fill. Burries has the tools to step right in and fill most of the available minutes. He is strong, he is skilled, he is polished, he is versatile and above all he has proven to be a winning player who won’t back down from anybody. Burries is also as mentally tough as anybody in the country, which will allow him to step in and play major college hoops as much as any guard from the class of 2025.

Named to the McDonald’s All-American team in January, Burries joins a class that just last week added fellow five-star and McDonald’s All-American Koa Peat. The additions of Burries and the homegrown Peat likely complete Arizona’s 2025 high school recruiting class which also includes four-star forward Dwayne Aristode and three-star shooting guard Bryce James, the son of NBA legend LeBron James.

The addition of Burries to the Wildcats 2025 class is a massive one and will move them all the way up to No. 4 in the composite team rankings.
