Former San Francisco 49ers fifth-rounder Robert Beal is headed to the Miami Dolphins on a one-year deal. The 49ers did not offer Beal a qualifying offer, meaning he does not count toward the compensatory pick formula.

Mike McDaniel signed one of the fastest players in the league, regardless of position, in Keaton Mitchell. The running back joins the Chargers after not being tendered by the Ravens.

The Broncos officially released linebacker Dre Greenlaw with a post-June 1 designation. Greenlaw will be a popular want for fans, but the Niners may have gotten everything they could have out of Greenlaw. His weaknesses might outweigh his strengths after numerous injuries. We will see who signs him and for how much.

If the 49ers are looking to add another veteran wide receiver, options like Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs, Christian Kirk, Deebo Samuel, Darnell Mooney, and Dyami Brown are available.

The safeties available are less intriguing. Jaquan Brisker, Andre Cisco, Kyle Dugger, Donovan Wilson, Tony Adams, Harrison Smith, and Geno Stone are out there.

The 49ers could sign some of their own, including Jennings, Spencer Burford, Eric Kendricks, and Luke Gifford.

Kyle’s update, 11:17 a.m. PT: The Bengals signed veteran defensive tackle Jonathan Allen to a two-year deal worth $26 million.

The Eagles revised Landon Dickerson’s contract. It’s a two-year, $36 million deal. Dickerson was previously due $39 million. He is now due $15.7 million this upcoming season.

Edge rusher Al-Quadin Muhammad is visiting Tampa Bay.

Kyle’s update, 12:11 p.m. PT: The Commanders signed former Bucks running back Rachaad White to a one-year deal. That was a player some thought the 49ers would pursue.

Rohan’s update, 1:15 p.m. PT: The Atlanta Falcons are adding to their pass rush with the addition of former Colts defensive end Samson Ebukam, who also previously played for the 49ers. Ebukam had two sacks in 14 games this season after missing the 2024 campaign with a torn Achilles.

The Miami Dolphins are also signing former Rams receiver Tutu Atwell on a one-year deal. Atwell, who is from the Miami area, signed a one-year, $10 million extension with the Rams last offseason, but he only had six catches for 192 yards last year.

Kyle’s update, 3:24 p.m. PT: A potential Mac Jones suitor is off the board. Kyler Murray signed a one-year deal with the Vikings.

Rohan’s update: 4:05 p.m. PT: The Steelers are signing former Bears safety Jaquan Brisker on a one-year, $5.5 million deal, reuniting him with college teammate Joey Porter Jr. Brisker had 93 tackles, eight pass breakups, and an interception in 2025.

Kyle’s update, 7:46 p.m. PT: The Dallas Cowboys are signing former 49ers center Matt Hennessy, per Todd Archer. The 49ers’ adding Brett Toth was a sign that Hennessy wasn’t returning to the 49ers.

Former Falcons free-agent pass rusher Arnold Ebiketie signed a one-year deal with the Eagles for $7.3 million. Ebiketie gets $4.3 million guaranteed. Ebiketie was another veteran linked to the 49ers after being drafted by Raheem Morris in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Penn State is a powerhouse when it comes to producing high-level athletes like Ebiketie. There is one in every draft.
