Production for the BMW Alpina XB7 is about to end. To celebrate, the automaker is producing a special Manufaktur edition for the United States and Canada.

Under the hood is BMW’s twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter S68 V8 engine, paired with the eight-speed Alpina Switch-Tronic transmission that features a 48-volt integrated motor. The XB7 produces 631 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, which can propel the SUV to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds.

Two new colors are available—Frozen Alpina Green and Frozen Alpina Blue. The SUVs also feature Shadowline high-gloss black exterior trim around the grille, windows, intakes, and tailpipes, and unique badging. Twenty-three-inch Alpina Classic 20-spoked forged wheels are standard.

Inside, the front headrests feature Alpina branding in either green or blue, with the rest of the cabin trimmed in Tartufo Full Merino leather and Walnut Nature Black trim. Second-row captain’s chairs, the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system, and two brown Lavalina leather weekender bags are standard.

Price & Availability

BMW will begin producing the 2026 XB7 Manufaktur in September, with deliveries starting in the fourth quarter. The SUV starts at $181,550, including the $1,550 destination charge, double the entry-level X7’s starting price of $90,000.

BMW will build the limited-run SUV at its Spartanburg, South Carolina, factory. Alpina X7 production began at the factory in 2020, making it the first Alpina built outside the company’s workshop in Germany.

Motor1’s Take: Now that Alpina is officially under BMW’s control, the German automaker plans to elevate the Alpina brand into a proper Mercedes-Maybach competitor. That means we will likely see the Alpina badge on a future X7 variant.
