The New York Giants had a strong 2025 NFL Draft, headlined by selecting Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter at No. 3 overall and trading back into the first round to take Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart at No. 25. They signed veteran quarterbacks Jameis Winston and Russell Winston to help bridge the gap until Dart is ready to start.
Oddsmakers think it will be a long season in East Rutherford for Big Blue, though.

The Giants have a 2025 win total of 5.5 at BetMGM — only the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints (4.5) are projected by oddsmakers to have fewer wins this season. It is the lowest win total for New York since at least 1989, which is as far back as the database at Sports Odds History goes.
The Giants’ previous low win total was 6 in 2004 and 2019, and they ended up going 6-10 in 2004 and 4-12 in 2019. New York has gone under its win total in seven of the past eight seasons.
New York lacks playmakers at wide receiver and tight end outside of 2024 first-round pick Malik Nabers.
The Giants’ win total is also a reflection of a very difficult schedule. New York is in an increasingly difficult NFC East, with the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles (win total 11.5), Washington Commanders (9.5) and Dallas Cowboys (7.5) all present. New York went 3-14 last season and finished last in the NFC East, going 0-6 in divisional games. According to Warren Sharp, the Giants are set to play the toughest schedule in the NFL by opponent season win total strength.
With head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen on the hot seat, it could be another long season.
