Former San Jose Sharks 2020 first-round pick Ozzy Wiesblatt has signed a contract extension with the Nashville Predators.

The 31st overall pick signed a one-year, two-way deal worth $775K at the NHL level. Wiesblatt had an interesting journey to the Predators organization. Last season, the forward was loaned to AHL Milwaukee and was successful during their playoff run.
He was officially traded to the Predators this offseason. In six games with the Admirals this season, Wiesblatt has two assists.

Wiesblatt impressed at training camp after arriving from San Jose in the Egor Afanasyev trade. His ELC was set to expire at the end of this season.
